Dr. Jan K. Carney to Join Panel on Physician Advocacy at UVM Larner College of Medicine
On Monday, October 13, Dr. Jan K. Carney will participate in a panel discussion hosted by the UVM Larner College of Medicine’s Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) in partnership with the Vermont Medical Society’s Student Interest Group (VMS). The event will explore the meaning of physician advocacy through the lenses of public health, clinical care, and health policy.
As Director of the Graduate Program in Public Health, Dr. Carney will offer insights into the critical role of physician advocacy in addressing public health challenges. She will also share guidance with medical students as they consider advocacy in shaping their future careers. A respected public health leader, Dr. Carney brings decades of experience and a longstanding commitment to advancing public health through advocacy.
