Larner College of Medicine
Larner Mentors connects medical students with faculty and resident mentors who support personal and professional growth, career exploration, and a sense of belonging. Flexible, personalized matches help students build meaningful connections throughout medical school.

Through shared interests, experiences, and goals, mentors provide guidance, encouragement, and perspective as students navigate the opportunities and challenges of medical training. These relationships create space for reflection, career exploration, and professional development at every stage of medical school.

As students progress through their training, they naturally build a diverse network of mentors who support different aspects of their journey. The Larner Mentors Program serves as a foundation for that network, helping students develop meaningful mentoring relationships, strengthen their professional identity, discover new opportunities, and deepen their connection to the Larner community.

More About Larner Mentors

Body

Mentorship is a cornerstone of professional growth in medicine. Throughout their careers, physicians rely on mentors for guidance, encouragement, perspective, and connection. Medical school is often where those relationships begin.

The Larner Mentors Program provides a foundation for building a lifelong network of mentors and colleagues. By connecting students with faculty and resident mentors, the program helps foster meaningful relationships that support learning, career exploration, personal growth, and a deeper connection to the Larner community.

In addition to mentor-mentee matching, Larner Mentors offers training, networking opportunities, social events, and professional development resources designed to help participants build successful and rewarding mentoring relationships. As students progress through medical school, the program serves as a gateway to the broader community of mentors, peers, and professional connections that will support them throughout their careers.
