Clinical Research and Academic Success in Obstetrics and Gynecology Course

The Clinical Research and Academic Success Course this year will aim to improve understanding of research methodologies including qualitative and quantitative studies. Participants will learn how to assess and critically review research publications and about how to use statistical software to analyze results. In addition, participants may improve their ability to write or review manuscripts and grant applications. Attendees can expect to learn more about the academic promotion process. 

Interested attendees must complete an application prior to registering.

•    Identifying and maintaining mentor-mentee relationships
•    CV
•    A brief statement (1 page or less) indicating your reason for applying 
•    Potential clinical research interests
•    A letter of commitment for funding from chair or division director

The registration fee is $4,000 and includes breakfast and lunch each day of the conference.

REFUNDS: Refunds, minus an administrative fee of $150, will be made only if notice of cancellation is received at uvmcmie@med.uvm.edu prior to January 1, 2026.  Refunds are not possible after that date.  Substitutions may be possible; please call (802) 656-2292 to inquire.

This conference will be hosted at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, California. We have a contracted room block from Tuesday March 4th to Thursday March 6th, 2025. Please make your reservations directly by calling (760) 328-5955. Be sure to identify yourself as one of our attendees so you can receive our discounted rate for stays on Monday through Friday. Stays outside the room block can be booked at the Best Available Rate. The Lodge charges a 10% state and local tax, a 4% community assessment, and a $20 per day resort fee. To ensure room choice and availability, it is recommended that you make your room reservations as soon as possible.
