The Clinical Research and Academic Success Course will aim to improve participants’ understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of various research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative studies, systematic reviews, and other research designs. It will also develop the ability to formulate appropriate research questions by exploring the key characteristics of strong and meaningful research questions. In addition, participants will strengthen their skills in assessing and critically reviewing research papers, as well as improve their ability to use statistical software to analyze research data and interpret results. The program will further provide an overview of the academic promotion process and enhance participants’ ability to write and review manuscripts and grant applications.

Participants and their departments will be responsible for travel, accommodations and tuition ($3,000). Tuition assistance is available.

Pricing
The registration fee is $3,000 and includes two group dinners plus breakfast and lunch each day of the conference.
REFUNDS: Refunds, minus an administrative fee of $150, will be made only if notice of cancellation is received at uvmcmie@med.uvm.edu prior to July 15, 2026. Refunds are not possible after that date. Substitutions may be possible; please call (802) 656-2292 to inquire.
