Dates and Location

September 27 - 28, 2025
8:00am - 5:00pm
Courtyard Hotel in Burlington, Vermont

Champ's Sono Camp, hosted by the UVM Departments of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine, is a Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Conference for generalists. This event is appropriate for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants in primary care, urgent care, pediatrics and emergency medicine.

Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) has become one of the biggest recent advances in clinical medicine. Referred to as the "modern stethoscope", data show that POCUS can improve diagnostic accuracy, procedural safety, and patient satisfaction. While numerous medical schools and residency programs have adopted POCUS into their curricula, few practicing clinicians have had the opportunity to learn this skill.

Conference mornings will be spent in didactics about core POCUS skills, and afternoons spent practicing hands-on skills with standardized patients and procedural models. Instructors are clinical experts in POCUS and faculty at the UVM Larner College of Medicine. This intensive, two-day course will be held in downtown Burlington, Vermont, overlooking Burlington Bay. Welcome to Champ's Sono Camp!
