Dates and Location

October 17 - 18, 2026                                                                                                                     Hotel Champlain in Burlington, Vermont

Champ's Sono Camp, hosted by the UVM Departments of Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine, is a Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Course for physicians and advanced-practice providers in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Hospital Medicine, and Pediatrics.

Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) has become one of the biggest recent advances in clinical medicine. Data show that POCUS can improve diagnostic accuracy, patient throughput, procedural safety, and patient satisfaction. While most medical schools and residency programs have adopted POCUS into their curricula, this course is an opportunity for practicing clinicians to improve their skills.

Conference mornings will be spent in core POCUS didactics, with afternoons spent practicing hands-on skills with standardized patients and procedural models. Instructors are clinical experts in POCUS and faculty at the UVM Larner College of Medicine. This intensive, two-day course will be held in downtown Burlington, Vermont, overlooking Burlington Bay. Welcome to Champ's Sono Camp!
