Matthew Saia M.D. is a physician in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Vermont, where he focuses on providing high-quality care to immigrant and refugee families while building a strong academic presence locally and nationally. His clinical work centers on serving as a General Pediatrician in the New American Clinic, the patient-centered medical home for Vermont’s resettled communities. His scholarly and operational interests include quality improvement and health systems optimization, including work as an EPIC Super User and Specialty Champion. His educational activities span medical student and postgraduate training, and he serves as Co‑Director of Education for Pediatric Primary Care at the University of Vermont, helping to guide learning for trainees in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Family Medicine.
