This session includes reviewing the rules for both prescribing and querying the Vermont Prescription Monitoring System (VPMS). This session includes information about how to safely initiate and discontinue opioids in primary care.
Management of Type 2 Diabetes
This session highlights the new, non-insulin medications for managing patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care, with a focus on the available evidence‐base related to cardiac and other outcomes. This session also includes information about nutrition and lifestyle, insulin safety, and recommendations from the American Diabetes Association guidelines.
