LinkedIn Learning

Lynda.com migrated its course library to LinkedIn Learning on October 28th, 2019. LinkedIn Learning will have the same great content as Lynda.com and is expected to provide a more personalized experience.

If you’ve used our Lynda.com subscription within the past year, your learning activity and history was seamlessly transferred to LinkedIn Learning.

FAQs

Is the content on LinkedIn Learning the same as on Lynda.com?

Yes, LinkedIn Learning provides access to all of the courses from the Lynda.com library.

Do I need a LinkedIn profile to use LinkedIn Learning?

No, but connecting your LinkedIn.com profile enables additional features and personalized content recommendations.

Only your basic profile information (e.g. name, job title, skills, photo) will be shared. Private activity from your personal LinkedIn account is not shared.

If you decide to opt-out of using your LinkedIn profile, a separate LinkedIn Learning account will be provisioned to you and is not connected to LinkedIn.com.

Is my Lynda data coming along with upgrade?

Yes, all users, groups, reports, and playlists will automatically be moved to LinkedIn Learning along with all Learner history and activity.

Can I opt-out of my learning data being migrated to LinkedIn Learning?

If you do not want to migrate your existing data, submit a Help Ticket and we will work with you to start a new LinkedIn Learning account, that does not include your Lynda.com learning data.

How long do I have to access my LinkedIn Learning account?

You must login to LinkedIn Learning within 1 year of the upgrade for your individual learning data and history to carry over.

You will be able to login after one year, however, your learning data will not carry over from Lynda.com.

Will I need to set up my groups and reassign my playlists again?

No, all assigned content and groups will be maintained once the upgrade process is complete.
