Hello! My name is Jake Darling (he/him) and I grew up in Barre, Vermont. I’m a junior studying Agroecology and I’m so happy to be learning about integrated and inclusive agriculture. Horticulture/agriculture has been a big part of my family for many generations and I’m excited to continue this tradition with a more social and ecological approach. I credit my dad for getting me interested in nature and growing our own food. The ALC fellowship seems like the perfect opportunity to connect with local farmers and to learn alongside them. I heard of countless positive experiences from friends that participated in the fellowship last year and can’t wait to make my own!
