BIO

Parker Holloway (he/him) is one of the Mental Health Counselors at UVM Counseling and Psychiatry Services, working towards his Clinical Mental Health Counseling License. Parker earned his MS in Counseling from the University of Vermont and also holds a Master’s of Public Policy from Loyola University Chicago. With over a decade of experience working with college-aged individuals, Parker’s biggest priority in his role is to foster a warm, grounded, and welcoming space for folks at the intersections of all identities. He is drawn toward an approach to counseling that is relational in nature and creates a space for folks to examine their connection with every part of themselves, with those around them, and with societal systems at large.

When Parker is not at UVM CAPS, he doubles as a yoga & meditation teacher and sees this as inseparable from his work as a counselor, believing that the mind-body connection is one of the foundational avenues of healing. This shows up in his work as a as he utilizes mindfulness and somatic based approaches in therapy, catered to each individual and group he works with.
