BIO

Avery Muzikar leads student engagement strategy and behavior change interventions for the Center For Health And Wellbeing. An innovative strategist who bridges the creative agility of the private sector with the mission-driven work of public institutions, his work merges lifestyle branding and public health research to drive measurable improvements in outcomes for young adults.

In this role, he has reimagined and managed public spaces, led a comprehensive rebrand of health promotion messaging across campus, and built partnerships with campus and community organizations to bridge gaps between students and services. In previous capacities at UVM, he oversaw marketing and communications for university housing, reworked divisional curricula for all on-campus students, and prepared propsals/reports for executive leadership.

Avery leads initiatives that transform traditional university communications into authentic, student-centered storytelling. Drawing on a background that spans publishing, brand development, and strategic communications, he has reimagined how UVM engages its residential and off-campus communities—turning bureaucratic processes into opportunities for collaboration, and elevating student voices as the core of institutional identity.

Prior to arriving at UVM, he worked in publishing, overseeing a large, international online publishing company. He has lived in the UK, Germany, and Spain, and is always excited to travel to new places.
