Faculty are the heart of FWIL. After all, UVM faculty design and deliver these foundational courses to provide instruction and practice in the learning outcomes so crucial to success at UVM and beyond. In this spirit, collaborative faculty development drives everything we do, from developing useful materials through the FWIL Committee, building community and deeper understanding through FWIL Fellows cohorts, to engaging in a range of assessment practices. These assessments come in various forms, including but not limited to: analyzing student work, student-led focus groups, faculty surveys, and teaching demos. FWIL also co-hosts TAP-specific events each semester with the goal of providing support to faculty teaching TAP courses.
