The UVM Extension Northwest Crops and Soils Program (NWCSP) has a Sensory Practice to assist local farmers, manufacturers, and retailers generate and maintain success in the marketplace. It is led by Roy Desrochers, a global sensory expert, who has over 42 years of experience providing sensory support to large and small food and beverage companies, and their suppliers. Most recently, Roy has been working with the NWCSP team to understand sensory quality and consumer preference issues relating to local products. He is an experienced descriptive sensory analysis panelist and instructor who has successfully trained thousands of objective tasters around the world.
