We're proud of our building. From the intentionality behind it's green build, the sustatinability practices swill on display daily, to all the amazing events we host year round — our pride for all the Davis Center has accomplished and continues to accomplish makes it kind of easy for us to talk about it.

Green Tour

The Davis Center is committed to leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible. Our building was built to obtain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification in green design. Therefore, every beam, window, or supply purchased during the construction process was cause for consideration.

You can easily peruse our environmentally friendly facts on the Environmental Stewardship page; or you could take a floor-by-floor stroll through our building and see how our building is helping the environment.

Audio Tour

Start in the Sodexo Sustainability Gallery at the start of the tunnel on the first floor of the Davis Center, and explore the building's green elements on this self-guided narrated tour created by students in UVM professor Logan Brown's ENVS 195 class.

ENVS 195, Energy & The Environment, is a course designed to survey the principles of energy use and introduce students to some of the tools and techniques of energy management. In this course, students explore the environmental consequences of our energy intensive society and look at practical solutions for reducing our energy footprint.
