Cosmogenic Nuclide Laboratory and Geomorphology Research Group

Information for and about Visitors to the Cosmogenic Lab

We welcome visitors to the laboratory to learn about methods, receive training, and process samples. Click here to see who (faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students) has come to visit and process samples with us since the new lab became operational in 2009.

If you are visiting the lab, please read and follow the directions below

1. We've written a summary for visitors that will answer many of your questions such as how do I find the lab, where do I stay, how do I get around Burlington. Please download it as a PDF by clicking here.

2. For liability reasons, all lab visitors need to download and fill out an MOU and bring a signed copy with them before starting work.

3. All visitors to the lab who will be doing any chemistry must take on-line safety courses before starting work. Click here to be connected to the UVM on-line safety course web site. You need to complete the four following courses (shown in the upper-left box titled “All Laboratory Workers”). Please list Lee (Ashley.Corbett@uvm.edu) as your supervisor so that she will receive your scores and the confirmation emails.

Chemical Safety in the Laboratory
Chemical Waste Disposal Training
Laboratory Safety Roles and Responsibilities
Laboratory Ventilation and Chemical Fume Hoods
