General Ticketing Information

General Information (Applies to all ticketed ceremonies)

  • Degree candidates and faculty do not need a ticket to participate in any ticketed commencement ceremony.
  • Only degree candidates will be able to reserve tickets. Guests must receive their tickets from their degree candidate.
  • If you are unsure of which college or school your graduate is affiliated with, visit the university catalogue to search an alphabetical list of majors.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are event specific. Students eligible for more than one celebration (for example: Grossman School of Business and College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences) will need to reserve tickets for EACH of the ceremonies if they have guests planning to attend both ceremonies.
  • Tickets cannot be duplicated. Guests will be required to have their tickets on them at all times (as a paper copy or on their smart phone/device) and will need them for exit and entry from event venues where tickets are required.
  • Guests with accessibility requests and attending a ticketed ceremony or celebration will still need to receive a ticket from their degree candidate. To request ADA accommodations and/or accessible parking, please submit an online ADA Accommodations & Accessibility Parking Request Form.
  • All ceremonies will be live streamed. Note: Livestream videos will not be active until shortly before the ceremonies are scheduled to begin.
  • All tickets are free.
  • Degree candidates will receive an email from Academic_Ceremonies@uvm.edu to their UVM email account on April 8, 2026 by 11:00 am with a link to the University of Vermont commencement tickets web page. The link to reserve tickets will not become live until 11:00 am. The email will include instructions on how degree candidates may claim their tickets. Once claimed, degree candidates will be able to print their tickets or send them to their family and friends.
