General Ticketing Information
General Ticketing Information
- Degree candidates and faculty do not need a ticket to participate in any ticketed commencement ceremony.
- Only degree candidates will be able to reserve tickets. Guests must receive their tickets from their degree candidate.
- If you are unsure of which college or school your graduate is affiliated with, visit the university catalogue to search an alphabetical list of majors.
- PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are event specific. Students eligible for more than one college/school ceremony (for example: College of Education and Social Services and College Agriculture and Life Sciences) will need to reserve tickets for EACH of the celebrations if they have guests planning to attend both ceremonies.
- Tickets cannot be duplicated. Guests will be required to have their tickets on them at all times (as a paper copy or on their smart phone/device) and will need them for exit and entry from event venues where tickets are required.
- Guests with accessibility requests and attending a ticketed ceremony or celebration will still need to receive a ticket from their degree candidate. To request ADA accommodations and/or accessible parking, please submit an online ADA Accommodations & Accessibility Parking Request Form.
- All ceremonies will be live streamed and a link to these broadcasts will be available on the commencement homepage in May.
- All tickets are free.
College/School Ceremonies
Students (degree candidates) may reserve tickets starting Friday, March 28, 2025 by noon (EDT) after they receive an email from Academic_Ceremonies@uvm.edu to their UVM email account.
Students (degree candidates) will be directed to visit https://go.uvm.edu/commencementtickets and log in using their UVM net ID and UVM password. Guests seeking tickets must connect with their graduate.

Specific Ticket Information
College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony 1
Tickets are required for the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony 1. Degree candidates will be able to reserve up to 5 tickets (updated 3/27/25). Degree candidates in the College of Arts and Sciences must reserve their tickets by Thursday, May 8 at noon (EDT).
Students (degree candidates) in regalia participating in the College Arts and Sciences Ceremony 1 do not need a ticket.
Tickets will be available online to degree candidates only. Guests seeking tickets must connect with their degree candidate.

Degree candidates who would like to request additional tickets for the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony 1 may request up to 2 maximum additional tickets through the waitlist function on the ticketing website. After the ticket site for the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony 1 closes on Thursday, May 8 at noon (EDT), the remaining tickets available will be released to those on the waitlist starting on Friday, May 9 after noon (EDT). Degree candidates whose waitlist request has been approved will receive an email from academic_ceremonies@uvm.edu with a summary of the ticket allocation. Degree candidates will have 24 hours to claim their waitlist ticket(s) from the time the email was sent. Note: waitlist ticket requests are not guaranteed. It is possible that degree candidates may only receive 1 ticket out of 2 requested on the waitlist depending on availability.
