Undergraduate Diplomas
The University President will confer degrees at the University Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Diplomas will be distributed at each college/school ceremony on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2026. After Sunday, May 17, unclaimed diplomas may be picked up at the Office of the Registrar’s front counter located on the 3rd floor in the Waterman Building, Monday, May 18, noon-4:30 p.m. and Tuesday-Friday, May 19-22 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Remaining diplomas will be mailed starting on May 26. Questions regarding diplomas should be addressed to the Office of the Registrar at registrar@uvm.edu. Degree Candidates are asked to confirm their post commencement mailing address by updating their permanent address from within myUVM.
Note: Diplomas not picked up or mailed (successfully) within one year will be shredded. After this period, a replacement diploma order form will be required to print a new diploma.
Patrick Leahy Honors College
Diplomas are not awarded at the Patrick Leahy Honors College Scholars Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 15. Diplomas will be awarded at each home college/school ceremony on either Saturday, May 16 or Sunday, May 17.
Graduate College Diplomas
The University President will confer master’s and doctoral degrees at the Graduate College Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Degree candidates will also receive their academic hood and diploma during this ceremony. After Saturday, May 16, unclaimed diplomas may be picked up at the Office of the Registrar’s front counter located on the 3rd floor in the Waterman Building, Monday, May 18, noon-4:30 p.m. and Tuesday-Friday, May 19-22 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Remaining diplomas will be mailed starting on May 26. The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine Diplomas

Academic Transcripts
Academic transcripts will be updated to reflect degree completion by May 22 for all undergraduate, graduate and medical degree candidates.
