Dear CNHS community,

Spring brings congratulations to the Class of 2022! As a college, we have many successes to celebrate this spring. Our faculty have been recognized for their mentorship and research – including Dr. Sue Kasser, who was honored with the inaugural Patricia A. Prelock Nursing and Health Sciences Research Award, and professors Jennifer Laurent and Mary Val Palumbo, who were named Holly D. and Robert E. Miller Green and Gold Professors.

Zyakkiriah Rhoden, member of the Health Sciences Class of ‘22, received the University’s Mary Jean Simpson Award for Leadership. Our Exercise Science students earned recognition for the University by Exercise is Medicine for their efforts to create a culture of wellness on campus.

And U.S. News & World Report Ranked UVM Nursing among the nation’s top graduate programs.

I’d also like to acknowledge the entire CNHS community for your ideas and participation in our strategic planning process as we develop goals for the future of the college.

Please enjoy this newsletter compilation of the many achievements of our community this spring. I wish you a restorative summer break.

Noma Anderson, Ph.D.
