National Walk@Lunch Day

Body Composition Testing

UVM Exercise is Medicine will offer body composition testing from 4 - 9 p.m. in 017 Rowell on April 25. Cost is $5 for skinfold measurement and $7 for s Body Mass Index (BMI) report. Contact Emily Park at Emily.Park@uvm.edu for more information.

Multidisciplinary Approach to Feeding Difficulties in Premature Infants

Dr. Yanick M. Vibert, attending neonatologist and professor of pediatrics, Drexel University College of Medicine, Dornsife School of Public Health Global Health Program, will address oropharyngeal development and suck/swallow coordination and outline a multidisciplinary approach to treatment that involves neonatology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy and nursing. Implementation in resource-limited settings including The Gambia, West Africa, will also be discussed. May 3, 12-3 p.m., UVM Davis Center. Learn more >>

Core Strength Class

Join your co-workers in Rowell 032 for a Core Strength and Flexibility session using stability balls, resistance tubing and weights on Mondays and Wednesdays at noon. Instructor Janet Franz is a CNHS communications specialist and certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer. The class helps relieve back stiffness, improves mobility and increases functional strength. Participants do not need to wear shoes, but please bring a mat or large towel for floor work.
