PCA for a Middle School Student
We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant to work with Frankie, a 12-year old boy with autism who is attending 6th grade in the South Burlington Tuttle Middle School. Frankie receives special education services through an IEP, including support from a Behavioral ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) provider who works with him daily at school. In addition, he receives speech and language services at UVM’s Luse Center and PT sessions at Edge Sports and Fitness.
Frankie and his family have enjoyed PCA services from some excellent recent graduates of CNHS and CESS. His family is currently seeking students who would have time and interest in providing PCA services during after school hours and summers.

Temporary School Health Professional
Allen Brook School has an opening for a School Health Professional to work in collaboration with the School Nurse and education team in supporting the health needs of an individual student. A potential candidate will be an advocate of inclusive education, a problem-solver, strong collaborator, and a positive team member. Ability to promote child health safety and self-awareness to foster independence are a must. Candidates must have a current unrestricted Vermont Nursing License and appropriate experience. This is a school year position. This position would be contracted for 1 hr a day to provide a lunch break for the 1:1 nurse, plus a possibility for more hours when a substitute nurse for the student is needed or a substitute for the school nurse is needed. The hourly range for the 1 hour a day position is $36.90 - $40.72 based on education and experience. The hourly rate for substituting for the 1:1 nurse or school nurse is $37.00 an hour. Please note that lifting is a requirement of this job.
Preferred candidates will:
- support a student with complex medical needs
- provide health appraisal, counseling and emergency services, as needed
- maintain safe and effective nursing care
