Tk20 - Our College Wide Assessment System | College of Education and Social Services | The University of Vermont(title)

Our Commitment to Your Success

The College of Education and Social Services (CESS) is committed to providing students and faculty with meaningful technology to assess and demonstrate student learning and growth across out programs. To aid in that effort, we have partnered with Tk20, a comprehensive web-based assessment system, to help all of us manage these tasks.

A Multipurpose Tool

Our academic programs collect data and feedback as part of UVM's commitment to clarify learning outcomes, identify relevant assessment questions, gather data and use those data to improve the UVM educational experience. This information is also necessary for us to gather for local, regional, and national accreditation associations. Tk20 acts as our information system that helps to organize and analyze this required data.

Tk20 also allows students to cultivate artifacts that demonstrate learning and professional competencies presented in electronic portfolios either as a required component of licensure programs or professional needs. Through Tk20, students develop and submit assignments, track field placements and their status in the program, and access content after graduation.

In addition, Tk20 establishes electronic documentation of student outcomes as required by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Tk20 accounts are accessible for seven years after the purchase date.

Mentor Teachers and Field Supervisors
Body

Mentor teachers and other on-site field supervisors will receive a link via email to their student's Tk20 field binder within the first three to four weeks of the semester. Once you click the link in that email, you will be taken directly into Tk20.

Once you are in Tk20, please click on your student's name in the middle of the screen. You will then see the forms we would like you to complete on the right side of the screen. Your forms in particular are towards the top of the screen, and will have little red flags next to them. Click the Save button (not Submit) after completing each form. The Submit button is used when all forms are completed. Please check with your student's UVM faculty supervisor regarding due dates for individual forms.
