Libin received his PhD in the Materials Science program here at UVM. His research group focused on material excitonic and magnetic properties of small molecules for organic semiconductor candidates. Libin finished 3 research projects and accomplished numerous feats including: Develop a new experimental approach to probe anisotropic material property, Identify and quantify the external strain-dependent excitonic property in a small molecule system, and Introduce and troubleshoot a temperature, external strain-dependent experiment setup. Since earning his PhD, Libin has gone on to work at Intel as a process TD engineer, about optical input/output. This type of work involves development, construction and improvement of prototypes. Libin’s work at Intel is similar to the early stages of his PhD study so there’s no doubt that he will find success and add to his list of accomplishments!
