Ekraj Dahal is a PhD candidate in the material science program here at UVM and is graduating in the rapidly approaching month of may. Ekraj is currently spending time working on the research of organic solid state devices and its processes. Today Ekraj defended his thesis, devising the method of tuning the electroluminescence from the resonators based upon Fabry-Pérot microcavity OLEDS. His research and thesis have contributed to advance the knowledge of light-matter interaction of organic semiconductors in photonic resonators with potential advantages for narrow band or broad-spectrum light emissions. Following his time at school, Ekraj plans to travel across the country to Hillsborough, Oregon where he will join the leading semiconductor company, Intel. Ekraj demonstrated his academic prowess for a successful career at UVM, and will take his talents with him to the professional world where he will continue to thrive!
