Congratulations to Judith Peitscher of Charlotte, Vermont, winner of the 2019 Raffle Filly!

UVM Benevolence will head 40 minutes north of the Morgan Horse Farm to small boarding/training barn in Charlotte. Her new pasture mate is Star, a thoroughbred belonging to Judith's daughter Justine. Justine grew up competing in the hunter/jumper circuit in VT, and is excited to share "Bev" with her three children as they grow up- the oldest of whom is already taking riding lessons. Both Judith and Justine are UVM Alumnae.

We look forward to hearing updates about UVM Benevolence as she grows up just a few miles "down the road."

Congratulations again to Judith and Justine!

A unique program designed to promote the farm and the Morgan breed.

History of the Raffle Foal Program

Every year since 1976, the University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm has raffled a foal off to the public. A great promotional tool for the farm, a single ticket can be purchased for just $2. Between 8,000 and 9,000 tickets are sold each year.

The raffle foal is selected each spring with the following criteria in mind: it must be an exceptional example of our product, born earlier in the spring to maximize promotion, and the dam must be accepting of the public process.

To learn more, send inquiries to uvmorgan@uvm.edu, or call 802-388-2011.
