BIO
Ryan Kriger is a former Senior Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection, and Assistant Attorney General with the Vermont Office of the Attorney General’s Public Protection Division. Ryan focused on enforcing laws related to Consumer Protection, Privacy, Data Security, and Antitrust. He frequently testified before the legislature and was the architect of Vermont’s first-in-nation data broker regulation, and was deeply engaged in rule making efforts at the Federal Trade Commission.
Prior to moving to Vermont, Ryan Kriger studied computer science and English (creative writing option) at Rutgers University, then worked in information technology before attending New York University School of Law. He practiced antitrust law in New York City for seven years.
In his spare time Ryan enjoys writing and woodworking. He has performed stand-up comedy throughout Vermont and New York City and written three as-yet-unpublished novels.
