Greetings! As we prepare for another academic year, Vice President Renee Berteau and I look forward to the opportunity to serve you as your Staff Council leadership for the second year of our two-year term. Over the summer, we've been busy working with our Executive Board and the Staff Council Office reviewing last year's accomplishments and planning for the year ahead. Due to the recent restructuring of some units/divisions effective July 1, 2013, we are holding a special off-cycle nomination and election period in August and September to ensure full representation. 
Due to the recent restructure at UVM effective July 1, 2013, several units/divisions need Staff Council representation. These areas include Athletics, Diversity & Equity, ETS, President's and Provost's Office, and University Relations & University Communications. Nominations accepted until August 29, 2013. 
The Staff Council has opened nominations for opportunities to serve on the 
Tuition remission is considered by many to be one of our most meaningful employee benefits. Learn what Staff Council did to help more staff take advantage of this benefit for personal and professional development.
The Staff Council's 2013 Survey of non-represented staff will be distributed via email in mid September. Stay tuned and please take the survey when you receive it so Staff Council can understand how to better serve you.
