Ancient Inventions

In the Honors College sophomore seminar "Ancient Inventions," students not only learned about technological innovation in antiquity, they built the machines of the ancient world - with only a book of illustrations and engineering professor Domenico Grasso to guide them. See their inventions in action here.

The course is one of several sophomore seminars offered to Honors College students. These interdisciplinary seminars range from "Controversies in Modern Genomics" to "Complexity, Climate Change and Human Systems," and are taught by faculty from UVM's seven undergraduate colleges plus the medical school.
