The Outdoor Adventure Club Live (OACL)

Youths around tree

The outdoor adventure club started in 2003 as a means to expand our efforts of Indian Valley Summer Camp to a year round program. The OACL holds outdoor recreation and education trips throughout the year. Activities include backpacking, sledding, snow shoeing, mountain biking and more! The OACL is a free program and offers underserved youth an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a positive, healthy, learning environment. The OACL encourages youth to lead active and healthy lives while being drug and alcohol free. The OACL promotes leadership, self-confidence, teambuilding skills and self-initiative in a fun and safe environment. Participants gain respect for the environment in which they live, learn life-management skills, build lasting friendships and memorable experiences. OACL provides healthy alternative activities for youth by providing forestry-related educational and recreational activities. We hope that the OACL will contribute to building a strong foundation for healthy, motivated, enthusiastic and environmentally conscious young adults.
