The University of Vermont Board of Trustees today welcomed three new members and re-elected Ron Lumbra to serve as chair.

New members start their terms on the board today and include:

  • Susan Brengle ‘85—a vice president and managing director for institutional business at Eaton Vance Management, a Boston-based investment management firm—was elected by the self-perpetuating UVM Board for a six-year term. Brengle succeeds Briar Alpert. Brengle’s bio and photo are available here.
  • Kristina Pisanelli ‘97—vice president of global government affairs for the Americas region for Medtronic, a Minneapolis-based medical device company—was elected by the self-perpetuating UVM Board for a six-year term. Pisanelli succeeds David Aronoff. Pisanelli’s bio and photo are available here.
  • Kenny Nguyen— a first-year medical student—was appointed by the Associate Directors for the Appointment of Student Trustees to serve on the board for a two-year term. Nguyen succeeds Berke Tinaz. Nguyen’s bio and photo are available here.

Lumbra, who is scheduled to serve on the board until March 2028, was re-elected as the board’s chair for a third one-year term.

“I’m honored to be entrusted again as chair of this dedicated board,” said Lumbra. “The past two years have been a challenge and an inspiration. As we welcome new trustees today, we look to the future. In the months and years ahead, the board will move to strengthen UVM for the long term.”
