Trip Types

Body

While the entire program is designed for anyone of any ability level, we know some folks are looking for different challenges than others. As such, we have designed three trip types.

  • Long Trail Backpacking
These groups will head out on a two-night backpacking trip to one of the high peaks along the Long Trail. Spend the weekend hiking through fall foliage, cooking over a stove with your new friends and maybe even get a view of your new backyard!
  • Adirondack Canoeing
These groups will head out for a two-night Adirondack adventure where you will cover the basics of canoe camping by doing exactly that, loading up all your camping items in a canoe and traveling by water to camp.
  • VT Basecamp Hiking
This group will spend the weekend at the historic UVM Cabin in Bolton, VT. The Cabin is the perfect launching point for day hikes, swimming hole adventures and peaceful time in the woods. These groups will do two-day hikes as weather allows.
