Do I Need a Resume to Apply for a Job?

Many supervisors seek qualified candidates and utilize the information a resume provides for their search process. We suggest that you create and update your resume on a regular basis. Visit the UVM Career Center for guidance on building your resume. The Career Center also provides additional services such preparing for an interview and much more.

International Students Seeking On Campus Employment

International students on non-immigration F-1 or J-1 visa categories are supported through the Office of International Education (OIE) and have certain immigration-based restrictions on the kinds of work permitted.

  • On-campus jobs are permitted, but limited to 20 hours per week
  • The International Services team in OIE works closely with these students and supports them in work authorizations, etc.
