Vector Learning Modules

As part of our collective work to create an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and has opportunities to thrive inside and outside the classroom, UVM partners with an educational learning platform, Vector Solutions, to provide a variety of interactive and evidence-based short modules for students.

Summer Modules for New Students

UVM requires every new incoming student to take four of Vector's learning modules prior to their arrival on campus. These online trainings empower you to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your time at UVM and beyond.

  • AlcoholEdu (about 90 minutes) is designed to reduce the negative consequences of alcohol amongst students.
  • Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (about 45 minutes) delivers core concepts around recognizing bias, acknowledging multiple identities, understanding power, equity and oppression, repairing relationships, and more.
  • Mental Wellbeing (about 60 minutes) helps you develop self-care strategies and understanding of mental wellbeing in college.
  • Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates (about 45 minutes) addresses sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment among students, faculty and staff.

You can leave and return to the courses at any time before the deadline and we encourage you set aside time where you can focus on the content. Each course ends with an exam and survey and you must earn a grade of 75% or higher to pass each course.

Short Follow-Up Survey

You will be automatically prompted to complete a follow-up to both AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduate Students (SAPU) in about 45 days. This step will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
