The University of Vermont "Green Mountain Battalion" has an illustrious history of military achievement. The Army ROTC program at UVM is the oldest in the country, beginning in 1913 as the Student's Army Training Course. For over 100 years, this program has produced some of the finest military leaders to ever serve in the United States Army.
