The Larner College of Medicine Division of Public Health’s Micro-Certificate Graduate Study in Public Health Informatics is a 6-credit, 2-course program that will provide students with introductory competency in informatics and quantitative public health.

Program Overview

This online program is designed for Graduate students, health practitioners, public health professionals, researchers, and environmental professionals. It can be completed as a stand-alone program or as part of a Master’s, MD, or PhD program.

Curriculum

The Micro-Certificate of Graduate Study in Epidemiology is a 6-credit, 2-course program consisting of 2 required courses.

Required courses:

  • PH6020 Epidemiology I
  • PH6240 Public Health Informatics

Courses are taught by faculty experts from UVM’s College of Medicine, the Vermont Department of Health, and experts trained at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
