Dear UVM Students,

We hope you are having a great spring semester. It is hard to believe that spring break begins in just a few days. Once we return from break, it will be a quick dash to finals and commencement.

Congratulations!!!! 100% of students eligible for a COVID-19 booster are boosted! This is a remarkable accomplishment. Thank you for your commitment to the health and well-being of all members of the UVM community. As we approach the endemic phase of the pandemic, we want to acknowledge how amazing you have been over the past two years. We understand the sacrifices you have made to make the last two years work. You repeatedly demonstrated why Catamounts are the very best!

Know Before You Go—Test Before the Break!

Before traveling for spring break, we encourage you to schedule a COVID-19 test at least 48 hours before you expect to leave to allow sufficient time to get your test results. Schedule your test using the CoVerified App and be sure to check out the Testing Center hours.

Know Before You Come Back—Test During Break!

All students who take a COVID-19 test between Monday, February 28 and Friday, March 4 will be given two free COVID-19 antigen rapid tests. Use the tests during break if you suspect you might have been a close contact or if you have symptoms. Save one test to use right before you return to campus at the end of break. If you do test positive, contact Student Health Services at (802) 656-3350 and they will talk with you about your options for travel and isolation.

If traveling out of the country, check in advance what the COVID-19 testing requirements and restrictions are for the country you are going to as well as for the airline you are using.

Know When You Come Back—Test After Break!

Plan to take another COVID-19 test when you return from spring break. We want to make sure you are healthy and safe for the remainder of the semester. Regular Testing Center hours resume Monday, March 14 at 9:00 a.m. Schedule your test using the CoVerified App and be sure to check out the Testing Center hours.

Thank you for your continued commitment and dedication to the health and safety of all members of the UVM community and our surrounding communities.
