Dear UVM community,

I am so grateful to be here at UVM with you—a community of people who are dedicated to helping each other and making a positive difference across Vermont and around the world. The magic of UVM is readily visible to anyone, but the wonder of actually being here makes clear what permeates all we do: our love for our community. We support one another in advancing our impactful mission—our teaching, research, and service to people, places, and ideas across the globe. We care about our community, find fulfillment in breakthroughs, take on challenges, change lives, expand minds, and foster what is good and meaningful. In this beautiful season, I hope you can reflect on what makes you most grateful and that you have the opportunity to share moments of joy with loved ones.

This holiday greeting captures a few moments of gratitude shared by members of our campus community. Together, we make UVM a truly special place.

Wishing you a joyful and restorative break and a happy new year.

With deepest gratitude for all of you,

Dr. Marlene Tromp
