Dear UVM community,
I am pleased to announce the annual call for nominations for the Our Common Ground staff award. This award recognizes staff members who have made extraordinary contributions to our university and who exemplify the values expressed in Our Common Ground. Each recipient is awarded a $1,000 prize, and the winners are recognized on a permanent plaque in the Waterman Building.
I encourage faculty, staff, and students to nominate staff members for this important award. A critical part of our shared efforts in support of our students, our state, and our colleagues is recognizing our valuable staff members who embody our share values so deeply in their work. Nominations will be collected until June 1. Please visit the award webpage for more information, as the nomination process has been updated to facilitate nominations for the broadest possible range of staff.
All nominations should be submitted using the nomination submission form. Questions concerning nominations should be sent to Jennifer Jorgensen, Staff Council President, or Michelle Clark in the Office of the President. Recipients will be announced and celebrated this fall after the start of the new academic year.
Your nominations make these special awards possible. Thank you for the work you do every day, and for your dedication to one another and to UVM’s Our Common Ground values.
Sincerely,
Dr. Marlene Tromp
President
