To: All students, all levels (exclude ATHM)

Dear Students,

UVM students (undergraduate, graduate, medical and continuing and distance education students) are required to take a COVID-19 test every seven days. Unless you have received an exception, you will be held accountable for this requirement.

Testing is an important responsibility for each of you to keep your fellow students safe.  It also keeps the faculty and staff safe along with the greater UVM community.

Schedule and Notifications:

Day 6 – the day before your Day 7 test, you will receive an email reminder

Day 7 – YOUR TEST DATE – you will get a push notification from the CoVerified app

If you do not get tested by the deadline set, you will be referred to the Center for Student Conduct (or Office of Medical Student Education) for sanctioning.

My hope is that regular reminders will keep testing in the forefront of your mind as we enter the midpoint of the semester.

Many questions have been raised about our testing protocol this semester. Answers to these questions are summarized in a new FAQ for Students. Here you’ll find answers to questions like:

  • I will be out of town on Day 7 of my next test – what do I do?
  • I missed a test and have been sanctioned. What do I need to do?
  • And more… about exemptions, support, and testing

Testing is a critical strategy to help us all stay healthy and safe. Thank you for continuing to do your part in upholding the Green + Gold Promise and keeping our UVM, Burlington and Vermont community safe.
