Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
This year’s undergraduate admissions results are remarkable. The Class of 2026 is more diverse and more competitive than ever and sets the bar higher yet for our future.
First, I want to share this news story about our Fall 2022 incoming class, posted today. Second, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and Burlington community members—who helped us attract such an outstanding incoming class.
From campus tour guides (thanks, AdvoCats!) engaging prospective students and parents, to faculty and staff presenters during Admitted Student Visit Days, to the Physical Plant pros who keep our campus beautiful and safe, to the admissions officers who read and evaluate each of those 30,363 applications—it is clear that successful student recruitment is an enterprise-wide activity.
I am particularly grateful to Jay Jacobs, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, and his entire team in Admissions, Student Financial Services, and throughout the division for leading us through another successful recruitment cycle.
Everyone’s efforts make a difference, and I thank you, all, for helping UVM to thrive.
Sincerely,
Suresh Garimella
President
