The University of Vermont will host a symposium and dialogue on spinal cord injury (SCI) on Monday, June 26, from 3-5 p.m. in the Sullivan Classroom (Medical Education Room 200) and online.

Part of a global initiative of researchers from 40+ countries to understand the lived experience of people with SCI, the event will be led by rehabilitation clinician scientist Reuben Escorpizo and will feature talks by researchers from UVM, the Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Texas Medical Branch, and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Community advocates and organizations, healthcare providers, students, and those with SCI and their families and support people are all welcome to attend.

The event is free, and continuing education credits are available. For more information, contact Professor Reuben Escorpizo at reuben.escorpizo@med.uvm.edu
