Schedule a Simulation

There is an ever-increasing demand for CSL resources and a finite amount of space and time. Please follow the instructions on this page to ensure the best possible outcome for your requests.

Schedule a Simulation

Overview

Body

All scheduling requests, regardless of department, must be submitted by the semester due date.

Academic Programs with specific simulation-based graduation requirements have first priority for CSL resources. This includes Larner College of Medicine (LCOM), College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS), and some residency and fellowship programs.

Event requests will be entered as "tentative" on the CSL calendar during the open request period. After the request period closes, the calendar will be reviewed and any conflicts identified. The CSL will then reach out to those affected to offer alternative scheduling.

Confirmations for CSL space and resources will be sent via email within one month of the request due date.

View our Scheduling Policy (.doc).

If you anticipate working with Standardized Patients, please contact the appropriate SP Educator after submitting the form.

Schedule New or Revised Simulations

Body

Requests to schedule a new simulation for the first time or make significant changes to a current simulation must be submitted at least 8 weeks before requested dates.

  • For Department of Nursing simulations, contact DON Director of Simulation Education Sarah Manacek (sarah.manacek@med.uvm.edu).
  • For SP Methodology-based Larner College of Medicine simulations, contact Standardized Patient Educator Shirley McAdam (shirley.mcadam@med.uvm.edu), CHSE.
  • For LCOM non-human simulations, non-DON CNHS simulations, and all other departments, contact Assistant Dean of Clinical Simulation Daniel Ackil (daniel.ackil@uvmhealth.org).

All materials for new simulations must be completed and received at least 4 weeks in advance of requested event dates. Failure to provide all materials will result in cancellation of the event.
