We offer patient care through daily outpatient clinics, an infusion center within our Rheumatology clinic, and a bone density facility. Eight Rheumatologists and a Nurse Practitioner treat over 1,100 patients monthly for various rheumatic diseases. Inpatient consultations are available 24/7.

Basic Research
Basic research is supported by the laboratory facilities and faculty of the Immunobiology Program located in the Given Building at UVM.
Clinical Research
Our research is focused on improving clinical care, outcomes and quality of life for patients with rheumatic diseases. Recent projects include sarcoidosis phenotypes and management, rheumatology patient attitudes to COVID, referral patterns and electronic consults for patient access to rheumatology services, family planning in patients on immunosuppressive medications, relevance of positive ANA in patient referrals to rheumatology, and development of an educational tool to improve osteoarthritis management in the primary care setting.
