Residency Program Overview

We provide a world-class academic home for our residency training program. Our academic core faculty are nationally awarded teachers, expert clinicians, and have diverse research interests across more than 14 subspecialities within emergency medicine. 

Our residents gain the skills and confidence to provide care in challenging, critical access, rural, and resource-limited settings through our wilderness, rural, and global health programs.

From the snowy peaks of the Green Mountains to the sunset over Lake Champlain, we are always close to remarkable outdoor scenery and activities. Vermont has a vibrant culture that celebrates the arts, promotes sustainability, offers world-class dining options, and provides diverse entertainment opportunities.

How to Apply

The University of Vermont Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency Program will be accepting applications via ResidencyCAS beginning in July 2025. We are participating in the NRMP match.

Interviews

All interviews will be conducted virtually from the months of October through December.
