BIO
Dr. Rebecca Guy earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the UVM in 2001, studying Salmonella pathogenesis under Dr. Murray Stein. She then pursued postdoctoral research with Dr. Karen Lounsbury, investigating calcium signaling and gene regulation in vascular smooth muscle. In 2010, she completed a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science at the UVM and subsequently worked as a Charge Medical Laboratory Scientist in the Microbiology Division of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Rebecca Guy is an Assistant Professor in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at UVM where she is a dedicated educator focused on teaching clinical microbiology and mentoring undergraduate students.
