BIO

Joe Pierson is a Professor and Division Chief for Dermatology at UVM Larner College of Medicine, where he previously served as Residency Program Director for over a decade. He is retired from active-duty military service where he was his specialty's consultant to the Army Surgeon General and is a veteran of tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Haiti. His prior academic appointments were at the University of Louisville and the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD. He is on the editorial board for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and has a strong interest in rural access to care
