BIO
John Wax is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hospice & Palliative Medicine. He is a leader in education who improves the quality of life for patients with serious illness and team-based care. In addition to his work in teaching serious illness conversation skills through Talk Vermont, he is a founding member of the New England Serious Illness Collaborative - a regional group who supports interprofessional fellows and post-graduate trainees from member organizations in learning specialty hospice and palliative care through shared resources, expertise, innovative teaching experiences, and faculty development. His teaching draws on years of experience caring for seriously ill adults and children in the hospital setting.
