BIO
Dr. Horn is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Larner College of Medicine and an attending neonatologist in the UVM Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she also is the Medical Director of Neonatal Transport and the Director of Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS). Her academic interests lie in quality improvement and implementation science to improve global neonatal health. She participates in promoting neonatal POCUS education locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. She enjoys mentoring neonatology fellows and modeling evidence-based practice. Her research is focused on combining quality improvement, education, and advances in implementation (including POCUS) to reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. As the Medical Director of Neonatal Transport, she has worked to improve the safety and efficiency of neonatal transport in our region, and provides ongoing community education around neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.
