BIO
Charles Mercier is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Larner College of Medicine, and an attending Neonatologist at the Golisano Children’s Hospital of UVMHealth. He provides clinical care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Medical and Development Follow-up Clinic. His current research interests include simulation training, perinatal outreach education, quality of newborn care in rural hospitals, and optimizing neurodevelopmental outcomes for NICU graduates. He serves on the board of the Northern New England Perinatal Quality Improvement Network, and on the UVM Public Health Program Curriculum Committee. He is a collaborating physician to the Perinatal Quality Collaborative – Vermont, and the Northern New England Follow-up Network.
