During the week of April 1-5, 2024, the Graduate College and the Graduate Student Senate will be celebrating National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week. We will be shining a spotlight on our graduate students and their impact on and beyond our campus.

National Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week was started in 1993 by three students who “wanted to find a way to physically manifest support and appreciation of the contributions, impact and value of graduate students.”

Appreciation Week is a chance for us to honor and thank our graduate students for their deeply valued contributions to research, teaching, professional practice, and community. To celebrate, we are planning a series of in-person and virtual events focused on community, wellness, and professional development. There will be free food and daily gift certificates, too!

Monday, April 1 – Friday, April 5

The Graduate College will give away $50 gift certificates to students every day of the week! Names will be randomly drawn by Graduate College staff and students will be notified by UVM email if their name is drawn. No entry is required, as all active graduate and professional students will be automatically entered."
